Not all women who are on sites like Facebook are there to answer those ‘How many crushes do I have’ kind of quizzes. A study of American women revealed the following more serious looking reasons why women visit social networks (ranked by importance):

1. Network profesionally
2. Stay up-to-date with friends
3. Promote business
4. Stay up-to-date with her groups
5. Research product or service
6. Stay up-to-date with family
7. Work requires it
8. Get advice
9. Find deals and discounts
10. Find new friends
11. Follow her hobby
12. Check up on kids
