Which Country Has the Largest Number of Broadband Lines

China and USA were tied at 78 million broadband lines in the end of August. However, the rate of growth in USA has been slower than China. The number of new broadband lines was just 1.1 million in the second quarter of 2008  in USA. Compare this with 5 million new broadband lines in China.

China hence now leads in the number of broadband lines worldwide.
