US Government Spending on Cyber Security

Internet based attacks on the US Federal websites are on the rise and that mandates a corresponding rise in security spendings. As a result, the spending on cyber security will now grow at twice the rate of growth of IT spending by the government.

Growth in cyber attacks on federal government : 300% since 2005
Spending on third party information security product in 2009 : $7.9 billion
Spending on third party information security products by 2014 : $11.7 billion
That is a growth of 8.1%
