Twitter : How Much of Tweets is Bot Generated?

Twitter looks like one mega bot-space. A lot many of twitter accounts are not handled by human beings but bots that are programmed to keep the account active with as much as 150 tweets a day. Here are a few interesting statistics:

Automated tweets create up to 24% of the tweets
5% of twitter accounts create 75% of all tweets!

Most of these automated bots are likely to be those of bloggers who use twitter apps to update their followers of new blog messages. Some of them merely post RSS feeds for particular keywords from Google blogsearch!

nice info buddy.. may b u can start putting up graphs, pics etc by accumulating info from a lot of sources. it’ll definitely make ur blog look v interesting.
