Statistics on Active Bloggers and Blog Readers

Statistics can be so confusing, especially when it comes from different sources. It was only a few days back when I wrote about 9% of all bloggers doing it full time. Now, here is another statistic that can be contradicting to an extent

Active Bloggers age-wise (wrote a blog post in the past 30 days)
18-24 : 7.5%
25-34 : 5.9%
35-44 : 3.8%
45-54 : 2.4%
55-64 : 1.25%
Overall : 3.4%

Active Blog readers age-wise (visited a blog in the past 30 days)
18-24 : 15.5%
25-34 : 16.1%
35-44 : 12%
45-54 : 8.6%
55-64 : 6.4%
Overall : 10.1%
