I was surprised that email marketing is so strong after search coming in 2nd place. I think it will be reduced though by 2010 with all the new spams etc.
I would tend to disagree. Email marketing is kind of tried and tested now. So, despite the number of times your message mail fall into the filters, it still has a good conversion rate. Also, with better spam filters developed, genuine email marketers are all the more likely to reach out to their audience.
