The currently unstable American market has taken its toll on the consumer tech spending. In a recent survey to understand the same,

only 19% respondents shall spend more on tech gadgets in the next 90 days
33% shall spend less on tech gadgets in the next 90 days

People tending to spend more in the coming months was close to 40 percent in November 2007 that dropped to 27 percent in January 2008.
