Things have changed since 2008. Gmail seemed to have caught up with AOL and overtaken it to become the third largest email service provider in USA. Here are the top four for July 2009 in terms of unique visitors:

1. Yahoo : 106 million
2. Windows Live : 47 million
3. Gmail : 37 million
4. AOL : 36.4 million
