Growth of Phishing Websites

The number of phishing websites is again on the rise and is highest since April 2007 when there were 55,653 phishing websites in the world.

There 37,165 phishing sites in May,2009. This increased to 49,084 in June,2009. The number of hijacked brands was highest in March at 310. The number of banking password-stealing crimeware increased by 186% in H1 2009 compared to H2,2008.
