There has been a spurt in the number of Phishing messages sent in the past few months. The second half of 2007 saw a 5 percent increase in the number of phishing messages sent across the internet. The total number of phishing messages traced in this time was 207,547. This is equal to 1134 messages every single day!

RSS Feeds Adoption Rate in Different Countries

Have you subscribed to an RSS feed? A recent survey found that the 34% of the respondents had subscribed to at least one RSS feed. This is more than double of the 15% response obtained the previous year. The countries with the highest adoption rate of RSS feeds are:

Russia : 57%
Brazil : 55%
China : 54%
USA : 18.6%

Of the American respondents who said yes to have subscribed to an RSS feed, only 25% follow the feed daily, while 35% read it weekly and 16% do so monthly.

UK Free-to-view Online TV Revenues

The number of internet users in England is set to increase from the current 36.8 million to 42.8 million by 2012. The percent broadband connection is also set to increase from 56.9% to 73.7% in 2012. This would mean increasing revenues from online video viewing and more importantly, the online free to view online TV.

2007 saw revenues of £19.1 million. 2008 is set to rake in as much as £28.5 million. This revenue is projected to grow upto £98.2 million by 2012.
