Google’s Performance on Social Networks
Google deals with two major social networks : MySpace and Orkut. With MySpace, Google has also signed a deal to deliver at least $900 million per annum in revenues. However, Google has said that social networks are not monetizing as much as previously estimated.
Due to this, the traffic acquisition costs has risen from 29.1% to 30.3% of revenues in the last quarter.
