The American gaming industry growth rate was a prolific 34 percent to reach $1.33 billion for the month of February. This includes the sales of both the hardware and the software. Two of the gaming consoles manufacturers, Nintendo Wii and Microsoft Xbox had such high demand in this period that they fell short of supply.

Gamers are fast moving from video games on their personal computers to game consoles in Germany. The sale of game consoles grew by 21 percent to reach $2.1 billion. The three most attractive channels of games in terms of growth and market worth are:

1. Game Consoles - 1.36 billion euros (21% growth)
2. PC games - 458 million euros (3% fall)
3. Mobile Games - 360 million euros (65% growth)
