Share of Digital Music Among Music Sales
In USA, Digital Music now accounts of nearly 30 percent of the total sales in the music industry. In Europe, this share is around 20 percent. Sales from Digital music is estimated to have reached $2.9 billion by the end of 2007. This is about 40 percent of the figures for 2006. The revenues of 2007 come from the legal downloads of nearly 1.7 billion music tracks.

What Percent of America Newly Owned an iPod Last Quarter?
40 percent of iPod sales in the fourth quarter of 2007 were from first time buyers. That is 40 percent of 22.1 million iPods that were sold in this time period. This roughly translates to 3 percent of America buying iPod for actually the first time just in the single quarter. Since the total sales was 22.1 million, this translates to 7 percent of America buying an iPod just in the last quarter of 2007.

Sale Figures of Gaming Consoles in Japan
A look into the sales figures for consoles in Japan for the month of February:
Nintendo Wii – 331,627 consoles
Playstation 3 – 89,131 consoles
XBox 360 – 14,079 consoles
Among the best selling games for the month of February, the lead position is again held by Nintendo. Their direct productions Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Wii Fit sold 1.33 million and 309,311 copies respectively.

Growth of Mobile Social Networks
The projected penetration in the use of the mobile social network users shows double digit growth figures in the coming 5 years.
The projected number of mobile social network users by 2010 : 300 millionl, approximately 7% of the total mobile phone users.
This number is predicted to grow steadily to 950 million by 2012. This shall approximately be over 18% of the total mobile phone population.

Sales Target for iPhone in 2008
Apple COO has made a sales forecast of 10 million iPhones by the end of 2008. Mr.Cook says with the progress till now, the company is on the right track to reach that sales figure. iPhones are now available in USA, UK, Germany and France and the company has sold more than 4 million units till the end of last year.
